I purchased a box of the Apple, Cinnamon & Almond nut butter balls and a pack of Raspberry & Cashew nut butter balls at a cost of £1.99 per box, virtually £1 per single ball.
I have bought Deliciously Ella’s energy balls in the past and reviewed them here. As a snack, they are very energy dense, a.k.a lots of calories in a tiny amount of food!
The nut butter balls are also energy dense with 145 calories per pack for the Apple, Cinnamon & Almond and 148 calories per pack for the Raspberry & Cashew. This gives a single nut butter ball an average of 73 calories.
After sampling each of the these flavours, I have to say I can see why they’re getting so much praise from fellow nut butter ball munchers.
They really are in a class of their own when compared with other energy and protein balls. Many others are very dry or ‘musty’ tasting, but these are perfectly squishy and soft which is helped by the nut butter inside which is also slightly runny.
The flavours are incredible. The Apple & Cinnamon tasted like apple pie with a good hit of cinnamon which doesn’t drown out the apple. The almond nut butter inside is creamy and smooth, almost like a sauce.

Looking at the nutrition, the Raspberry is high in saturated fat (from the nuts) and high in sugar (mainly from the dates). They are both high in sugar with the Apple nut butter balls containing nearly 2 teaspoons of sugar each. While this isn’t added sugar (free sugars) it will eventually be broken down in the body in the same way.
Naturally they are vegan and gluten free.
Available in a wide range of health stores such as Holland & Barrett and many larger supermarkets and Boots.
