It sounds delicious. A creamy blend of coffee with hazelnut. Ice cold and creamy, Alpro Caffe with hazelnut has been expertly blended to give you the delicious break you deserve.
It has just 31 calories per 100ml, the whole 1 litre carton has just 310 calories. It’s low in sugar too.
Despite being found in the chiller cabinet, not ultra heat treated (UHT), Alpro's Caffe drinks have a reasonably long shelf life of around 6 weeks.
I remember loving the taste of Alpro’s Hazelnut alternative to dairy milk drink but I really only liked drinking it on it’s own. This coffee and hazelnut drink is ideally a drink to be consumed on its own too, and icy cold.
I poured some out into a small glass for testing, and wow, it’s fantastic. I absolutely loved this flavour. It’s a perfect combination of coffee with a subtle nutty undercurrent flavour. I gave some to my husband.
His comment, ‘very nice, tastes like chocolate milk’! So, I hadn’t told him what it was, just gave him a glass of chocolate coloured drink. I can guarantee that there is no trace of chocolate in this drink. So either my husband has faulty taste buds or his brain just assumed because it looked like chocolate milk, it was chocolate milk.
There is another flavour of Alpro Caffe – Coffee & Soya Caramel. Like the Coffee and Hazelnut, it contains 53% coffee but has 42 calories per 100ml. I love the sound of this flavour too, and as its also low sugar I will be sure to buy this one in the near future.
