High Bran Bread (M&S)

This small loaf of bread from Marks and Spencer is exactly as its name implies, high in bran. Described on the packet as "a full-flavoured loaf with toasted wheat, bran & wheatgerm." This is definitely one of the tastiest wholemeal breads out there. Because it's a small loaf, the calories are low, only 55 per slice, almost half the amount of some larger sliced wholemeal loaves. And because it's high in fibre, it's lovely and chewy and very satisfying. Delicious when soft and new, but equally tasty when toasted.

Available from larger branches of Marks and Spencer.
