Weight Watchers Hot Chocolate Drink Flavours

Weight Watchers Hot ChocolateWeight Watchers have expanded their range of low calorie hot chocolate drinks. If you're on the Weight Watchers ProPoints plan or just happen to like their brand of hot chocolates, you may be pleased to have more choice other than the pain chocolate variety.

So what are the other flavours? Well, we now have Jaffa Cake flavour, Chocolate Cherry Brownie flavour and Cappuccino Cream Cake flavour. They sound good enough to eat! All flavours contains 38 calories per serving.

Since I last wrote about Weight Watchers hot chocolate drinks, they've changed their packaging. As well as the 220g plastic jar, their chocolate drink powder is now sold in resealable 88g sachets. This, according to the pack, should be enough for 8 servings.

I'm not sure how long these additional flavours have been out because my regular supermarkets are notoriously slow to bring in new products. I spotted these while browsing around ASDA who usually have a good stock of Weight Watchers products.

I can't say I was impressed with the original Weight Watchers hot chocolate drink. But, on this occasion, I decided to take a chance with the Jaffa Cake flavour.

The resealable pack is easy to open without the use of scissors. The powder produces a sweet orangey smell, not dissimilar to a chocolate orange. I made my drink up with a small amount of coconut milk to produce a creamier topping.

I found this flavour reasonably drinkable. It still has a thinner consistency compared with my regular Options drinking chocolate, but if you put more powder in, I guess it would thicken up. But then the calories increase too.

If made up as directed by putting 3 heaped teaspoons into a cup and adding hot water, your drink should average around 38 calories. Or, if you're counting ProPoints, one drink will cost you 1 point.
