I bought the Crispy Chocolate Chip cereal bars which are described as a cereal bar topped with plenty of scrummy chocolate chips. The cereals included are rice, wheat and barley.
As soon as I opened them up I suspected I knew what they’d taste like. They has a similar look to some other cereal bars I’ve reviewed on this blog, including See Tesco Goodness Apple Cereal Bars and Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Cereal Bars.
They have the appearance of a thin flapjack with a generous sprinkling of dark chocolate chips on top.
Biting into them, they’re soft with a slightly crisp and sticky, chewy consistency. They also have that bendy texture like the Rice Krispie cereal bar. The chocolate chips help give the overall flavour a chocolate boost.
These are a bit too sweet and sticky for my liking, but the kids love them. They are high in sugar but as the overall bar has only 80 calories, they're fine as an occasional snack.
