Fortunately, there are many reduced fat sausages in the supermarkets and I've bought many brands over the years. Last week we tried out a 50% reduced fat sausage from the Morrisons Nu Me range. Each sausage has 62 calories.
A 454g pack of Morrisons Nu Me Reduced fat sausages contains 8 un-linked sausages. They’re described as: ‘Perfectly peppery lean British pork sausages.’ And they have 50% less fat than Morrisons standard butcher’s style thick pork sausages.
They’re easy to cook, either shallow fry or grill for 15-20 minutes. Cooking them under the grill as I do, they release virtually no fat. This is a good sign, however they can burn quite quickly if the heat is too high or you don’t turn them frequently enough.
