Finn Crisp Plus – 5 Wholegrains Thin Crispbreads

I eat crispbreads virtually every day and generally stick to my favourites (Ryvita Thins and Sunflower Seeds & Oats). However, I’m not averse to trying out different varieties from time to time, especially if they look healthy.

So when I discovered these Finn Crisp cripsbreads made with 5 wholegrains and only 30 calories each, I decided to try them out.

Boxes contain 25 crispbreads sealed inside a clear cellophane wrapper. They’re dark in colour, like rye bread and very thin. In fact the underside resembles a brandy snap. The top is coated with a layer of oat flakes, linseeds, sesame seeds and millet.

They are quite unique in flavour, unlike any others I’ve tried. It’s quite a strong taste, similar to dark rye bread and they are extremely hard to bite into, ie they’re very crisp.

Once you’ve bitten into them, they hold together well so you don’t end up with bits flying everywhere. They are high in fibre with 17g per 100g or 1.3g each.

Personally, I found the flavour a bit strong. I think it’s one of the ingredients, possibly the rye flour which I’m not so keen on.

If you like these you may also like Finn Crisp Original Slims which are made with 94% rye flour and have only 20 calories and 1.2g of fibre per slice.

Nutrition information per crispbread: 30 calories, 0.8g protein, 4.2g carbohydrates 0.3g sugars, 0.5g fat, <0.1g saturates, 1.3g fibre, <0.1g sodium
