Mission Deli Mini Tortilla Wraps - NEW

If you're looking for tortilla wraps, there's no shortage of brands to choose from. The calorie content can vary quite considerably with anything from 100 to over 200 each.

Mission Deli have a good selection of wraps which typically have around 200 calories each. However, they've recently introduced new Wheat and White Mini Wraps with only 97 calories each.

Mission Deli’s wheat and flour tortilla wraps have the added goodness of wheatgerm and fibre. They measure around 15cm in diameter (just under 6") and are a good size for children to hold.

After a lifetime of eating sandwiches, I’m enjoying experimenting with different types of lunchtime snacks. I must admit I have trouble with folding circular shaped tortillas while keeping the fillings inside, but that’s probably because I try to cram too much inside.

These mini wraps are lovely and soft and hold together well when wrapping. Each pack contains 6 wraps and they can be frozen.

Here’s a recipe idea from Mission Deli:

Ham and Cheese Wrap (Use 1 Wrap)

Place it on a work surface and spread the mayonnaise evenly over it. Arrange finely sliced ham across the middle of the wrap. Put cheese and tomato strips over the ham and place the lettuce leaves on top to cover the filling. Roll up the wrap trying to maintain a tight roll.

You can find Mission Deli’s Mini Wraps in larger supermarkets in the bread section.

Nutrition information per wrap: 97 calories, 2.4g protein, 14.6g carbohydrate, 0.8g sugars, 3g fat, 1.1g saturates, 1.6g fibre, 0.42g salt. Suitable for vegetarians

  1. They make a really nice change to bread. Filling a tortilla wrap with the same ingredients as you would for a sandwich suddenly changes the meal from simple to gourmet & delicious :)
