Weight Watchers Macaroni Cheese

Macaroni cheese is an old childhood favourite often enjoyed well into adulthood. However, it’s not a meal that’s normally associated with dieting or losing weight. With cheese, butter, flour and pasta as principle ingredients, this is a meal slimmers should forgo.

Weight Watchers however, have a version which is low in fat and has just 88 calories per 100g.

It's described as:

'Delicious macaroni pasta in an extra mature Cheddar cheese sauce with a hint of Dijon mustard'.

This ready meal provides a fabulous option for dieters and those following the Weight Watchers ProPoints plan.

Each 400g pack has 352 calories and 9 Weight Watchers ProPoints. To make a more balanced meal it’s best to serve this up with salad or vegetables. Since there is easily enough to serve two people, you could have the calories and ProPoints giving just 176 calories or 4.5 ProPoints per portion.

Weight Watchers Macaroni Cheese can be chilled or frozen and is best baked in the oven after defrosting.

Ingredients include: Cooked macaroni pasta, skimmed milk, low and medium fat soft cheeses, extra mature Cheddar cheese and Dijon mustard.
