Mini All Butter Scottish Shortbread Fingers - Marks and Spencer

I adore shortbread. But with around 100 calories or more for the average piece, it’s not something I can buy and eat with a clear conscience.

As soon as the pack’s open, they’ll be gone in a day. Not all consumed by me I hasten to add! All those calories, all that fat and sugar. No, shortbread really isn’t a dieter's friend.

But, there is a way around this. Marks and Spencer have kindly produced Mini All Butter Scottish Shortbread Fingers. Each mini shortbread finger has just 25 calories. This is an enormous calorie saving on regular sized shortbread fingers.

Somehow, it’s so much easier taking one or two mini biscuits from a pack than, say, one regular sized biscuit and breaking it in half to save calories. People just don’t do that! (Well I do, but generally, people don’t).

Of course, coming from M&S, they taste gorgeous. All buttery (butter accounts for 34% of the ingredients) with that melting crunchy texture you get from the rice flour. Share these around at work and they’ll be gone in a flash.

Each 125g bag contains 25 mini shortbread fingers. They have no artificial colours or artificial flavouring.

Mini All Butter Scottish Shortbread Fingers can be found in branches of M&S Foodhalls.
