Terry’s Chocolate Oranges aren’t the sort of treat you pick up at the newsagents to eat as a quick snack. Instead, they’re often given as presents or bought specifically to share (despite what Dawn French says)!Tempting as they are, if you find yourself offered a segment of Chocolate Orange, stick to one or two pieces at a time, especially if you're watching your weight. They might be orange shaped and have an orange flavour, but that's about all they have in common with an orange and they definitely won't count towards one of your five a day.
A whole Chocolate Orange has 20 segments and a whopping 925 calories. However eating just one segment will set you back a mere 46 calories.
UPDATE 2016: Terry's Chocolate Orange has shrunk! It still has 20 segments but calories for the entire orange are now 820. This means each segment is worth 41 calories.
These days, you can find spin-off variations of the original Chocolate Orange including White Chocolate Orange, Dark Chocolate Orange and Chocolate Orange Honeycomb Crunch.
Terry's Chocolate Orange is made by Kraft Foods and can be found in prominent positions in supermarkets and other stores which sell chocolates, i.e. W.H. Smith.
