High Bran Wholemeal Bread – M&S (Update)

High Bran bread from Marks & Spencer has been noticeably absent from the store shelves over the last couple of months. However, it’s back again in some stores, having had a packaging revamp and a very slight change to its nutritional information.

High Bran bread is a full flavoured, sliced loaf with wheatgerm, bran and toasted wheat, making it one of the highest fibre breads around. It has a chewy texture with a nutty flavour and is particularly filling, thanks to its high fibre content.

Apart from the packaging, the only noticeable change to High Bran seems to be the number of calories per slice. The new version now has 60 calories per slice rather than 55. All the other nutritional information appears to be identical and the bread tastes the same too. Maybe the slices are a tad thicker, but it’s hard to say. It’s just nice to see it back on the shelves again!

High Bran (400g) is available in some larger branches of Marks & Spencer Foodhalls.

Here’s the earlier post for High Bran bread.
