Alvalle Gazpacho Original Review

Alvalle Gazpacho cold tomato vegetable soupThis is an unexpected review for me, mainly because it’s for a product I would never normally buy. The product - a free carton of Alvalle’s Gazpacho which arrived with my grocery shopping.

The idea of gazpacho doesn’t appeal to me. It’s basically cold tomato soup and I don’t even like tomato juice, which is a shame because it’s healthy and low in calories.

But still, here it was, waiting to be unpacked and needing to be refrigerated. I may as well give it a try.

Waitrose Low Alcohol Cider Review

Waitrose low alcohol ciderAs I may have mentioned over the years, I’m not much of a drinker. In fact, it’s fair to say I don’t drink at all (these days). Probably the main reason for me is the calories. I just don’t like alcohol enough to waste calories on booze when I could put those calories to much better use eating healthy food!

The only time I buy alcohol now is for cooking purposes and this is why I purchased a bottle of Waitrose low alcohol cider. I was making a sausage & cider stew from the Hemsely & Hemsely recipe book and wanted to make sure I had all the right ingredients.

Pulsin Fruity Oaty Bars Review review

Browsing around my local health food shop the other day, I noticed some new snack bars. I don’t know if they really are new, but I hadn’t seen them before. The box that caught my attention was the Orange Choc Chip variety.

They’re described as:

‘Deliciously wholesome Orange Choc Chip oat bars, made with real fruit and natural ingredients.'

None of that fake stuff in these! There are 3 varieties of Pulsin Oaty bars and they're all gluten free, dairy free, soya free with non GM ingredients.

New York Bakery Bagel thins pre slicedIf you’re bored with regular sized bagels or are looking for something a bit lighter, there are several alternatives. For example you could choose mini bagels or bagel thins – see previous reviews. And here’s another option from the New York Bakery Co. called Bagel Sandwich Thins.

They’re available in two varieties: plain white or seeded. Both have under 130 calories.
