Mini Ambrosia Rice and Custard Pots

I love custard and rice pudding and those made by Ambrosia are especially delicious. However, I rarely buy these foods any more. Too much sugar, too high in calories etc etc.

But, they do say a little bit of what you fancy is good for you, and there is a way of indulging in these snacks without worrying about the calories.

Ambrosia’s mini pots of rice and custard are just 55g in size and contain a mere 55 calories.

Danone Light & Free Greek Style Yogurts Review

It was while waiting at a bus stop that I first noticed these new Danone Light & Free yogurts. I don’t usually pay much attention to adverts, but the huge poster billboard was hard to miss.

With zero percent fat and zero percent added sugar, these new Danone Greek-Style fruit yogurts claim they contain over 30% fewer calories than most full fat fruit yogurts’.

Naturally, without the fat and sugar, they're not calorific, with the average pot containing around 58 calories.

So what’s actually in them and, more to the point, what do they taste like?

Bonsoy Original Soy Milk Review

Bonsoy soya milkWhen I switched from dairy milk to soy, I tried many different varieties to find one which tastes best in tea and coffee. I’ve also generally concentrated on those with the lowest calories because I do get through quite a lot in a day!

While I’m still happy with my preferred soy of choice: Alpro Light, I still love trying out other brands, especially when they come highly recommended. Such was the case with Bonsoy. In my opinon, Bonsoy is the ultimate taste experience in soy milk. It’s almost perfection, but not quite.

Boots Shapers Popcorn Snacks Review

With popcorn proving to be a popular snack for those looking to grab something quick to eat but not full of calories, there are plenty of brands to choose from.

Recently spotted in a Boots store are these new packets of Shapers Popcorn. I spotted three varieties: Coconut & Pineapple flavour popcorn (89 calories), Cheddar & Caramelised Onion Popcorn (82 calories) and Sweet & Salty (89 calories).
