Nu Me Air Dried Vegetable Crisps Review

While searching through the nuts and seeds section in Morrisons, I spotted these little packets of air dried fruit and vegetable crisps. I noticed they were part of the NuMe brand which is Morrison’s healthier option range.

Quickly scanning the front of the packs shows they’re all low in calories. Nothing higher than 68 calories per pack. There were three varieties: Apple Crisps, Beetroot Crisps and Carrot Crisps.

YooMoo Frozen Yogurt Lollies Review

Yoo Moo Ice Lollies were an impulse buy in Tesco recently. I loved the look of the pack. Bright, colourful and apparently healthy, plus they sounded so tasty. There are three different flavours of yogurt ice lollies: Mixed Berry, Tropical and Strawberry. Each ice lolly has 74 calories.

Kirsty’s New Ready Meals Review

Back in 2010, single mum Kirsty, impressed two Dragon's Den members, Duncan Bannatyne and Peter Jones with her range of frozen desserts. With a son who suffered from intolerances and allergies, Kirsty developed desserts suitable for those who can't tolerate wheat, gluten or dairy.

With the dragons' backing, she went on to develop a range of award winning ready meals which are nutritionally balanced, include at least one of the ‘five a day’ and have healthy levels of sugar, fat, saturated fat and salt. Kirsty’s aim is to produce high quality, delicious, nutritious and allergen free alternatives to a range of food products. All meals are under 400 calories.

Recently I was sent two new Kirsty's meals to try out. They were Beef Lasagne and Thai Chilli Chicken with Rice Noodles.

Almond Breeze Low Sugar Almond Milk

Back in 2012, Blue Diamond's Almond Breeze Almond milk made its entrance into the UK market. In common with other brands, they produced a sweetened and unsweetened version.

In the meantime, the growing popularity of alternative milks has meant even more choices available. So now Almond Breeze have produced a reduced sugar version.

Blue Diamond's Almond Breeze reduced sugar contains 50% less sugar than the sweetened version. Good news is it’s still low in calories and sugar.

Special K Nutri K review

Just a quick post about Special K. I grabbed this box off the supermarket shelf recently for two reasons. One: it stated it was NEW and two: it was on offer at £2.00 for a 550g box.

This new Special K claims it has ‘even more nutrition in every delicious flake’ and is calling itself ‘Nutri K’. Only after I got the box home did I examine it to see exactly what is different. Answer – not much.
