Happy Kale Carob & Coconut Snack Review

I’ve been hearing so much about the wonders of Kale. Having never heard of this vegetable until a couple of years ago, suddenly it’s everywhere. According to, this cruciferous vegetable is one of the healthiest vegetables around.

The thing is, dark green veg are usually quite bitter to eat, so aren’t to everybody’s taste. I’m including it in my diet by using it regularly in my NutriBullet Nutriblast shakes. This at least helps disguise its natural taste. But another popular use for kale lately is to turn them into Kale Crisps.

No-No Houmous Flatbreads review

No No Houmous flatbreadsFirst off, this has nothing to do with that annoying advert, you know the one (No No, pain free hair removal)! In fact, this is a review for a brand of flatbreads I recently found, and they come in some very interesting flavours.

These flatbreads are houmous flavoured. Since my favourite dip for flatbreads happens to be houmous, I was intrigued to see how houmous-like these flatbreads would be. Most importantly, they have only 21 calories each!

Mini Naan Bread Be Good to yourself Review

Naan breads are rarely waistline friendly, with many racking up over 400 calories for just one. There can’t be many of us who can afford to splash out on that many calories without gaining weight.

If you don’t want to give up your naan bread, you could always tear it in half and share it!

Alternatively, you could have a whole one for yourself by choosing a smaller, lower fat version such as Sainsbury’s Be Good to Yourself Plain Mini Naans. These have just 120 calories each.

Graze Box Snack Review – Coconut Crumble Cake

I have recently decided to change my Nibblebox to a Graze Lightbox, so now all my snacks will be under 150 calories. It may have narrowed down my choices a bit, but there are still many tempting and delicious offerings available.

This week’s new surprise was the Coconut Crumble Cake with a mango, passionfruit and lime coulis on the side. And the calories? A mere 115.
