New Easy Pouring Carton for Alpro Soya Light

Alpro have a new packaging design for their ambient long life Soya Light and I must say it's a huge improvement. The carton shape is now in line with their chilled drinks (see photo below) and the top of the carton has a gentle downward slope with a much larger screw type lid. It's so much easier to open and hold, and it pours out perfectly.

Alpro Soya Drink Simply Mild Review

Alpro Soya Simply MildWhen I first saw this new Alpro Soya Simply Mild, I assumed it was new packaging with a new name for their Original chilled soya drink. However, on closer examination of the ingredients and nutrition information, I realised they are indeed different.

Alpro Soya Simply Mild seems to be targeted at those who aren’t crazy about the soya taste, which is inevitable when drinking soya milk! Although there is sugar in the ingredients, it has only 35 calories per 100ml.

20 Marks & Spencer Soups - Update 2014

Ready to eat pots of soup are as popular as ever with most supermarkets selling a wide range of own brand soups alongside their competitors. Marks and Spencer must have one of the greatest varieties with no less than 20 different flavours to choose from.

Since 2013, M&S have changed their soup packaging from a tall cylindrical shape to a slightly more squat, oval shape. Each pot still holds 600g. They’ve also lost one or two varieties and introduced new ones.

Here is the 2014 update for M&S ready to eat soup pots.

Chia Seeds Chia Shots Review - The Chia Co

Chia Seed Chia Shots black and whiteI’ve been reading so much about the wonders of Chia Seeds that I thought it about time I try them myself. However, when I first found them in Holland & Barrett, the price completely put me off. At the princely sum of £11.99 for a 315g bag, this was more than I was prepared to pay for something I had never tried and might even hate.

Happily, a few weeks later, I spotted these Chia Shots at the checkout, also in Holland & Barrett. They were being sold individually, so I had a chance to sample them before splashing out on a whole bag. They are also sold in boxes of 10 (5 packs of black seeds and 5 packs of white seeds).
