Rather than buy the eggs individually, they come packed in a real egg carton holding four eggs. Also included are two tiny spoons so you can scoop out the delicious fluffy centre. Each egg has 195 calories.
I don’t normally buy Crème Eggs because you really have to eat them in one go. Instead I prefer splitting up my chocolate treats into smaller sections (less calories that way). However, I couldn’t resist these Egg 'n' Spoons. It must be the novelty factor.

My question is ‘with 4 eggs, why only 2 spoons?’ The front of the box has the message: ‘A fluffy treat to share and enjoy…’. Perhaps you’re supposed to share spoons?!?
Each egg has a star shape etched around the top and judging by the picture on the front, this should neatly come off in one piece. I wasn’t sure how that would work out, but it does come off surprisingly easily. Just apply a little pressure at the top, pull, and off it comes, exposing the fluffy white centre.
The inside isn’t like the centre of a crème egg, ie it’s not runny. It has more of the consistency of mousse and has a delicious vanilla flavour. It's also a lot easier to eat than a Crème Egg. Their storage carton means you don’t have to worry about them getting squashed and oozing all over the inside of your bag!
I found these in a branch of Waitrose having hunted high and low (including Superdrug where I first heard they were sold). I’m sure they’ll be more widely available now they've started advertising on TV.
