Graze Box Delivery Date: 2 November 2012

This week they really outdid themselves with two NEW nibbles: Toffee Apple and Tomato Dipinetti. They were outstandingly delicious.
Besides my two new snacks I also received the ‘Fruit and Seed Flapjacks’, reviewed in week 3, and ‘Green Olives with Chilli & Garlic’ reviewed in week 10.
And here’s the review for this week’s brand new Graze nibbles.

Toffee Apple
I think this particular snack was rolled out in time for the Halloween and Guy Fawkes fireworks celebrations. The punnet is split into two sections with slices of dried granny smith apple in one side and a toffee sauce dip in the other side of the pack.
This snack could be eaten as a lower calorie alternative to regular toffee apples which have around 220 calories each. And since biting into the hardened toffee of a toffee apple can pose something of a challenge for those with teeth problems, this smooth, creamy toffee presents no such problems.
As soon as I peeled back the top, I knew I would enjoy this one. The smell from the toffee sauce was divine. Looking at the ingredients, I can see why. Included is golden syrup, condensed milk, butter and muscovado sugar. A dieters nightmare, surely?
Unbelievably, you get to devour this sweet delight for just 68 calories. As such, it has a Graze 'Extra Light' symbol as well as the Fibre symbol (from the apple).
As far as taste, the dried apple was OK. I’m not partial to dried apple but when dipped into the sauce, oh, I was in heaven. This has to be one of the most delicious toffee sauces I've ever tasted. Or perhaps it’s because I hardly ever eat such calorific fare that I enjoyed this so much.
No, in all honesty, this toffee sauce is outstanding. I drowned my apple pieces in the sauce and thoroughly enjoyed eating my 68 calories toffee apple. This definitely gets a rating of LOVE. I could eat this every week.

Tomato Dipinetti
This is another dip snack and has also been given the Graze ‘Extra Light’ symbol. One section contains nine rosemary grissinetti (mini breadsticks) and a slow cooked cherry tomato relish in the other.
Another winner from Graze. Peeling back the lid releases a sweet and tangy smell from the relish which is just calling out for those sweet mini grissinetti. The little breadsticks are delicately flavoured with rosemary which you can see throughout. They’re crisp and crunchy, yet you can slightly detect the olive oil which gives them a richer texture.
They’re just delicious eaten on their own but the relish, oh, it’s another taste sensation. I rarely eat pickle or relish, but this variety from Graze has converted me. It’s a sweet and savoury combination made with tomatoes, onions, raw cane sugar, apples, carrots, vinegar, dates, salt, garlic and spices. Who ever came up with the idea of mixing this lot together was inspired. The breadsticks totally complement the relish and this made an extremely satisfying snack. So much more interesting than a packet of crisps.
I’d be happy to get this snack any week, so I’m also giving this a rating of LOVE.
Calories for the snack: 97.
