Of course, I had to buy some. There are three varieties to choose from and since they’re one of the Special K brand, there’s lots of calorie information on the packs. The Sour Cream and Onion variety prominently displays on the front that each serving is 95 calories. And even more helpfully mentions that a serving is 21 crisps.
Special K Cracker Crisps are packed into 100g boxes, imitating the look of their cereal packs. They open up at the top like a regular cereal box and inside is a sealed foil wrapper. It would be very easy to open the box up and munch your way through the whole lot. But if you’re counting calories, and want to keep your snacks to around 100 calories, then at least you know that 21 cracker crisps = 95 calories.
The three flavours are: Sour Cream & Onion, Sweet Chilli and Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar.
A message on the box:
'Introducing New Special K Cracker Crisps, the deliciously moreish savoury snack that you can feel good about. Delightfully thin crisps with a distinctive satisfying crunch. Available in a tempting range of tantalizing flavours – at 95 calories per generous sized serving of 21 crisps*. (* per average 23g serving).'I even went as far as weighing out 23g and after counting them, found there were exactly 21 crisps. So they’re not telling any porky pies on the box. This makes each cracker crisp worth 4.5 calories each. The box is 100g but it doesn't mention how many servings per box (like cereal boxes do). Doing the maths, there should be enough for just over four servings.
