The new Crispello bar is therefore targeted at women. Its slogan ‘A little treat for you’ has the aim of luring women back to the chocolate market with this lighter, more waistline friendly chocolate bar. It’s described as: Thin crispy shells with a creamy chocolate filling, covered in Cadbury milk chocolate.
The ‘bar’ is actually three individual milk chocolate coated wafers with a milk chocolate flavoured filling. It’s packed in a resealable wrapper, making it easy to take out one piece and seal up the rest for another snack later.
Each piece has 55 calories, so that’s 165 for the whole bar. It’s a bit like a larger version of the Galaxy Flute or Milky Way Crispy Rolls (see chocolate post).
There’s a thin layer of lovely Cadbury’s milk chocolate on the outside and inside the crispy wafer roll is a smooth chocolatey, truffle like filling.
Because it’s still quite new, the Crispello bar may not be available everywhere yet. It hasn’t yet reached my local shops or supermarkets, but it has made its way into Boots stores.
