Graze Box Delivery Date: 13 July 2012
Seven months of Graze box deliveries, and not one has ever missed its delivery date. Quite a feat considering the vagaries of the postal system. But it looked like Friday the 13th was going to break the spell, as my fortnightly Graze box failed to materialise along with the rest of the post.
Ah well, if it was going to happen, it made sense it would be on this day. But no sooner had I resigned myself waiting another day, when the postie returned an hour later, armed with my Graze box. I couldn’t open it soon enough.
So what was inside? Four snacks as usual, two of which have been received earlier and two new ones.
Looking at the packs, it seems they've all been given a bit of a makeover with new symbols on all the lids.
And ‘Poached Pear’, reviewed in week 21 is a mix of pear, lemon sultanas and pumpkin seeds (flavoured with vanilla and honey). This now has ‘extra light’ and ‘vitamins & minerals’ symbols.
Extra light means it's under 110 calories and ‘vitamins & minerals’ means it’s a good source of vitamins and minerals!
New snacks this week were Mavellous Macaroon and Fruity Ploughmans.
Marvellous Macaroon
The white chocolate buttons are quite large and delicious. The almond slices are sliced so thinly you can almost see through them. But eating them one at time makes the snack last ages. I adore coconut flakes and would happily eat a whole punnet of these alone.
Marvellous Macaroon - White Choc buttons, almond slices, coconut flakes, amaretti drops |
The only bit I wasn’t too keen on were the amaretti drops as I’ve never particularly liked almonds or almond flavoured biscuits etc. It tastes a bit too much like marzipan which I can’t eat.
But overall, I’ve given Marvellous Macaroon a rating of LOVE because everything else in this snack was delicious.
Calories for the punnet: 158.
Fruity Ploughmans
The miniature flatbreads have a slightly wafer like quality but are almost chewy. They’re gorgeous, really tasty and I could easily eat all these with no dip at all. Onto the chutney. I’ll first say that chutney isn’t something I ever buy, so I can't really compare it with other varieties.

This week the Graze nutrition booklet has a printed key, describing what each of their symbols mean.
They’re all called ‘Snacks with Benefits’ and Graze say:
‘Every single graze snack has at least one healthy benefit. You can tell what these are by using out handy symbols, which you’ll find both on the website and on the punnets themselves.’If you want to try out a Graze box for yourself, you can do so for free by visiting Graze and using this code: 9HZTPXFD.
Simply browse through the selection and choose your favourite four items. Enter the code (9HZTPXFD). and you’ll get your first box at no cost.
Don’t worry, you’re not signing up for any long term contract. If you don’t want any more, you just cancel. And if you want to keep receiving Graze boxes, you can choose as many of as few deliveries as you want.
Happy grazing!
