It was my daughter who first spotted the new snack from Cadbury called Choc' Full of Popcorn and she couldn't wait to tell me about them. I almost wish she hadn't. She knew not to bother asking me to buy them, for it would be only a matter of days before they'd show up in the shopping.
No matter how hard I try to stay on the straight and narrow with my diet, where Cadbury's chocolate is concerned, if there's a new treat on the shelves, I have to try it.

Popcorn can be a deceiving snack. In some cases it's healthy. Freshly air popped corn without added ingredients is a good source of fibre, has no cholesterol or saturated fat, it's filling and has only 30 calories a cup. But for many of us, plain popcorn just isn't tasty enough. Manufacturers know this and so add all sorts of calorific coatings to entice us into buying it.
Cadbury's Choc' Full of Popcorn is covered in a layer of toffee plus another generous layer of Cadbury's milk chocolate. It goes without saying that this variant of popcorn isn't a healthy snack (physically). But mentally, maybe it is. As they say, a little bit of what you fancy does you good. You do get that sugar rush that gives you an instant high as well as the delicious melting chocolatey flavour that’s got to be boosting the serotonin levels (feel good hormones) sky high.

It's hard to say how many calories each piece of popcorn has, because as shown in the next photo, there's quite a big variation in size. Some of them have two stuck together while others are tiny fragments of one piece of popcorn. But whatever size, they all taste equally delicious.
