Neuro Bliss Mood Enhancement Drink Review

I spotted this drink in a branch of boots and was intrigued by its strange milky colour. Neuro Bliss is a lightly carbonated vitamin & herbal extract drink with the tagline ‘mood enhancement’. On the front of the 430ml bottle it has the tagline ‘Drink Smart – de-stress the healthy way'. On the back it promises ‘happiness in every bottle’.

This all sounds very promising. But I'm always a bit wary of so called ‘health’ giving beverages, especially when they're also full of sugar. This usually serves to add a load of empty calories which I can well do without.


Fortunately, Neuro Bliss is a low calorie drink with just 37 calories per bottle. And despite the rather high price tag, (approx. £1.89), that persuaded me to buy it. Plus who couldn't do with a bit of mood enhancing from time to time? 

According to the bottle, Neuro Bliss is sweetened with sugar and sweeteners with the sweeteners in question being sucralose and crystalline fructose. And the health giving ingredients are Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Ginko biloba, Chamomile and Siberian Ginseng. There are also added vitamins including B1, B2, Niacin, B6, B12 and Folic acid.

A glass of Neuro Bliss 

By the time I got around to drinking some, I’d just returned from an exhausting bike ride. I was thirsty and thought this would be a good time to try out the drink. Like it says on the bottle, it's only lightly sparkling so you're not being assaulted by bubbles when drinking it. 

Neuro Bliss has an unusual flavour. I can just about make out the ginseng but I don’t know whether what I’m tasting is ginko biloba or acetyl-L-Carnitine as I’ve no idea what they taste like. I think I can also taste a little of the chamomile too. 


All in all, it is a pleasant drink. Whether or not it made me any happier, I can’t really say. I suppose I felt happy that it might, just possibly be doing me some good! 

It is quite a large bottle with 430ml and I could only manage half  in one go. But at least it was half the calories.
