Warburtons Square Wraps

Wraps are popular these days, maybe because they’re so versatile. For example, you can use them instead of sliced bread as an alternative to a sandwich, or as a base for a pizza, or to wrap around a fajita.

Tortilla style wraps are generally circular, and unless you’ve mastered the technique of wrapping them properly, the contents are liable to end up anywhere but inside the wrap.

Warburtons have a new style wrap which can make the whole business of wrapping a wrap a bit more straightforward. These white flour wraps are square shaped.

Well they’re called square (ish) because they’re more rectangular shaped, but who’s measuring? You can roll them, fold them, or just lay them flat and top with whatever you fancy.

The resealable packs contain 6 white square wraps with each wrap worth 159 calories. The pack provides a few alternative suggestions for using your wraps. For example, there’s the shredded duck and hoisin sauce wrap, the chicken and chargrilled vegetables pizza bake and a toastie with mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.

I tried out the pizza style and made a lunchtime chicken and salad wrap as shown below. They make quite a large sized lunch and are very filling. They also received a positive thumbs up from the kids. And yes, they are very easy to wrap up with no fancy folding required. However, you still need to watch out for the ends, especially where children are concerned, so the contents don't slide out.
