McVitie's Mini Hobnobs - Milk Choc

As many dieters are probably aware, McVities Milk Chocolate Hobnobs are at the higher end of the biscuit calorie scale (if there is such a thing). At 93 calories each, eating just two or three a day can be enough to stop any weight loss in its tracks.

But if you don’t want to give up your favourite milk choc Hobnobs, there is another option.

A safer choice for dieters or those watching their waistlines could be to swap to McVities Mini Milk Choc Hobnobs. These are exactly the same as the full sized version but they measure just over 3cm or 2.25 inches in diameter.

McVities Mini Milk Choc Hobnobs are packed in a 125g ‘Tear & Share’ pack and it comes with a resealable sticker to keep the contents fresh (and away from temptation!). However, after opening they should be consumed with 7 days.

Packs contain 32 mini Hobnobs with each biscuit measuring 3.5cm or 1.25 inches across. Now, the label informs us that one (25g) serving provides 121 calories. But the big question is, how many biscuits do you get for one serving?

Doing the calculations, it turns out that one Mini Milk Choc Hobnob is worth just 19 calories. So if you regularly eat 2-3 chocolate Hobnobs a day, try swapping to the smaller version and save yourself up to 222 calories a day.

Incidentally, one serving (25g) = 6.4 biscuits (121 calories).

Nutrition Information per 25g: 121 calories, 1.7g protein, 15.4g carbohydrate, 8.5g sugars, 5.9g fat, 2.9g saturates, 1.1g fibre, 0.2g salt.
