Kellogg’s Fibre Plus Cereal Bars - NEW

Boosting your fibre intake doesn’t have to mean sprinkling bran onto all your food. There are tastier ways, one of which is the Fibre Plus bar from Kellogg’s.

This is another cereal bar to add the growing selection of cereal type snack bars available these days.

What makes Fibre Plus a bit different from some other Kellogg’s bars is that each bar contains 5g of fibre. This is equivalent to 20% of your daily fibre requirements*.

Fibre Plus bars are available in Milk Chocolate at 111 calories per 28g bar, or Dark Chocolate and Almond with 116 calories per 28g bar. Each box contains four individually wrapped bars.

The bars are made from a combination of oats, wheat and rice (like Rice Krispies). The bottom has a layer of milk chocolate while the whole bar is drizzled with more chocolate.

They're very chewy and sweet and should easily satisfy a chocolate craving. Each bar has 6g of sugar which is around 1.5 teaspoons. Although this puts it in the 'high' category for sugar (per 100g), it's still considerably less than you'd find in the average chocolate bar.

Kellogg’s Fibre Plus bars are available in larger supermarkets. Other bars with a similar amount of fibre per bar include Weetabix Oaty Bars and Alpen Light bars.
