Toast Francais - Melba Toast Crispbreads

Toast Francais are mini slices of crispbread which look just like sliced bread. They have the same texture as melba toasts but they're a bit thicker. They can easily be included as part of a calorie controlled diet since they have just 31 calories each.

Toast Francais are ideal for using as a base for sweet or savoury toppings and they have a lovely ‘bread’ like flavour. If you’re spreading them with butter, they can break quite easily so it’s recommended to place another toast underneath which helps prevent this happening.

They’re also really handy if you’re feeling lazy and just want a quick snack like jam on toast, as there’s no waiting around for the toast to brown.

To gain a perspective on their size, around four Toast Francais equal one regular slice of bread. Toast Francais by Jacquet are available in various stores including Costcutter.

Nutrition Information: Per toast slice: 31 calories, 0.77g protein, 6g carbohydrate, 0.38g fat.
