Graze Box Review - Lemon Meringue Pie, Bounty Hunter, The Beach, Tom Yum Yum

Graze Box Delivery Date: 2 December 2011

My second box from Graze arrived promptly on Friday and looked just as promising as the first. Carefully packed inside were this weeks four selections chosen by the Graze team according to my preferences. I couldn't wait to tuck in.

This week my four surprise selections were:

Lemon Meringue Pie

No, it wasn’t a lemon meringue pie in the traditional sense, but there were teeny white meringues inside, together with yogurt coated peanuts and lemon infused sultanas. The meringues and yogurt coated peanuts disappeared pretty fast, but the lemon sultanas weren't far behind. As someone who doesn't really like sultanas, these were exceptionally good and really lemony. This is the sort of snack that makes Graze so good because they select treats you'd rarely have a chance to try anywhere else. I won’t be crossing this one off the list. (Love)

Bounty Hunter

This mixture includes milk chocolate drops, coconut flakes and dried cranberries. We all wanted a bit of this one. I love coconut so ate most of the flakes which were nice and crunchy. The kids of course, wanted the chocolate drops. This was fine with me, as they were only tiny and there weren't too many of them and the cranberries were mainly eaten by my husband who enjoys these. The Beach

As the name might suggest, this selection has a range of dried, tropical fruits including pineapple, mango and banana coins. The banana coins are crunchy and sweet, like regular dried banana chips which everyone liked. The dried mango and pineapple didn’t go down quite so well. They were very chewy and seemed to tug at my fillings. Son eats no dried fruit, and one daughter liked them a bit. This means they'll be crossed off my list for now. (Bin)

Tom Yum Yum

This is a mix of Thai spicy rice crackers, mainly chosen for me since rice crackers are a great low calorie nibble. These were gorgeous – a bit too spicy for younger children but very moreish for everyone else. This mix is a brightly coloured selection of different shaped spicy crackers including dried lime leaf. This gives the mix a real authentic and unmistakable Thai taste. Because they’re quite spicy, it’s easy to eat just a few at a time then stop. That chilli buzz can make you feel like you’ve eaten more than you really have. (Love)
Calories for the punnet: 85.8.

The total Graze box calorie count for this week is 480.2 calories.

This was a popular selection in my household, although The Beach didn’t go down quite so well. We still managed to get through the whole box in one day - but that's between 5 of us. For one person, this could easily last two days or more if you just take one snack a day.

As this was my second Graze box, I had to pay half price this week. Next week it's full price, so here's to next weeks surprise.
