Crispbakes by Sainsbury’s

If you like melba toast and are looking for something different from a cracker, you may like Sainsbury’s crispbakes. They have the same crunch and texture as a melba toast but they’re much thicker in diameter and don’t break if you try to spread anything onto them. They’re also low in fat and calories with each crispbread having just 31 calories.

Treat them as you would a regular piece of toast, for example, top with tomatoes and cheese and pop under the grill until the cheese melts. Or simply spread with your favourite topping or low fat butter to appreciate the taste and texture of the crispbake.

Each circular crispbake measures just under 3.5” across or 8.5cm with a depth of just over half an inch or 1.5cm. They can be found in Sainsbury’s stores in the crispbread section.

Nutrition Information: Per crispbake: 38 calories, 1.4g protein, 7.2g carbohydrates,1.1g sugars, 0.3g fat, 0.1g saturated fat, 0.4g fibre, trace salt. Suitable for vegetarians.

Ingredients: Wheat flour, glucose syrup, egg, sugar, yeast, rapeseed oil, emulsifier: soya lecithin; salt, emulsifier: sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate.

Sainsbury's Crispbakes are very similar to a Tesco's Light Choices Dutch Crispbakes as shown in this post.
