Weight Watchers Caramel Cake Bars

Weight Watchers Caramel Cake Bars are light chocolate sponge cakes, topped with a layer of sticky caramel and coated in real milk chocolate. They taste as good as they look.

If you’re following the Weight Watchers programme, or a calorie counted diet, it’s good to know each caramel cake bar has just 89 calories and a ProPoints value of 2.

They’re available in packs of five and are individually wrapped, which is probably a good thing because they are very moreish.

Although the calorie count is good for dieters and they are ‘reduced fat’ when compared with similar cake bars, the saturated fat content is a high, with 7.5g per 100g. Anything over 3g of saturated fat per 100g is considered high, (see this post).

These were found in Poundland who usually have a good supply of Weight Watchers products.

1 cake bar = 89 calories
Nutritional Information: Per cake bar: 89 calories, 1.2g protein, 13.2g carbohydrates, 9.1g sugars, 3.0g fat, 1.8g saturates, 2.3g fibre, 0.1g salt.2 Weight Watchers ProPoints.
