To prepare Horlicks light, you just need to empty the contents of the sachet into a mug and add hot water.
If you are counting calories, beware. Although the product is labelled ‘Light’, this doesn’t mean it’s low in calories. Each Malt sachet has 114 calories and the Chocolate Malt is 120 calories.
Although this is lower in calories than a mug of original Horlicks, which when made with semi skimmed milk, has over 180 calories, it shouldn’t be mistaken as one of the low calorie instant hot drinks on sale. But, if you want to save calories, just use half the sachet and a smaller cup. This works well because there is a fair amount of powder in each pack.
