If you don’t have any fresh fruit to hand or you’re tired of finding your apples or bananas bruised and battered by the time you arrive at work, you might like to try eating your fruit in an alternative form. ASDA’s Fruit Squeezy pouches are pure fruit purees available in Apple or Apple & Pear.
Each pouch is equal to one of your ‘five a day’ and has only 64 or 65 calories. Unfortunately they also have added sugar but contain no artificial colours or flavours. They have a screw top lid and are great for kids lunch boxes (and adults). They're delicious when mixed into natural yogurt.
UPDATE: June 2012.
ASDA have updated their packaging and here's another new flavour - Strawberry & Apple. This variety has 62 calories per pouch and like the others, counts as 1 of your 5 a day.
Oh, one more thing. These squeezy fruit pouches are part of the ASDA 'Chosen by You' range so you know they've been approved by thousands of consumers.
