Hellmann's Lighter than Light Mayonnaise

Hellmanns are well renowned for producing deliciously creamy mayonnaise. While the French like to dip their 'frites' or chips into mayonnaise, in Britain, mayonnaise is more usually spread onto sandwiches or mixed with dips.

But mayonnaise is exceptionally high in fat and calories and a definite no no when it comes to dieting. Regular Hellman's mayonnaise has a whopping 100 calories per tablespoon and 11g of fat. Compare that with the Lighter than Light version which has only 12 calories and 0.5g of fat. Note that Hellmann's 'Lighter than Light' was previously called 'Extra Light'.

Tastewise, it's lovely. Obviously not as rich as the regular variety but it still retains that lovely creaminess. There's absolutely no need to deprive yourself of mayonnaise if you're a fan of mayonnaise.

Hellman's Lighter than Light mayonnaise is available in larger branches of major supermarkets in a squeezy 430ml plastic bottle, and a 400g or 600g glass jar.

Nutritional Information: Per 15ml tablespoon: 10 calories, 0.7g sugar, <0.5g fat, <0.5g sat. fat, <0.3g salt.
