Don't Eat a Big Breakfast to Lose Weight

Despite numerous research studies telling us that we should eat our largest meal of the day at breakfast, it now seems that if we do, we're setting ourselves up for dieting disaster.

Scientists at the Technical University of Munich monitored the calorie intake of 400 men and women over ten days and found that those who consumed large amounts at breakfast, went on to eat similar sized meals for the rest of the day.

But, according to Sian Porter of the British Dietetic Association and many other studies, breakfast eaters are less likely to have a weight problem and also tend to lose weight more successfully than those skipping breakfast.

So the moral of this contradictory information: Eat a decent breakfast but cut right back for the rest of the day.
