I plan to go in for one or two items and come out loaded down with all sorts. It's not cheap either, so I have to curtail my visits to save my bank balance!
So it was in Planet Organic that I was searching in the snacks area for something that would be suitable for school lunchboxes. Here I found a sweet snack called Made Good Apple Cinnamon Organic Granola Minis which sounded so delicious AND it contained vegetables.
Looking at the front of the box, I could see these snacks looked like little flapjacks but in a ball shape. And the vegetables! Scanning through the ingredients list there are indeed vegetables, albeit a teeny weeny percentage overall (see below).
Each 96g box contains four individual 24g packets (90 calories) with 8 mini granola balls inside. They’re squishy and crunchy at the same time with a gorgeously strong cinnamon flavour. Little bits of dried apple are noticeable after chewing and there are a few raisins in there too. There is no hint of a vegetable, which is probably good considering these are aimed at the children’s market.
I absolutely love these as do my kids. However, as they are on the expensive side, they’ll have to be an occasional treat.
Found in Planet Organic. You can also find them on Amazon.
