Belvita Breakfast Biscuits Varieties & Review

According to market research, cereal bars are becoming an increasingly popular breakfast choice. They’re especially popular among the younger generation and they seem to suit the fast paced lifestyles that many of us lead today.

Perhaps with this in mind, a new type of biscuit hit the supermarket shelves in 2010, specifically targeted at the breakfast market.

Belvita Breakfast biscuits are delicious, crunchy biscuits designed to be a substitute for breakfast cereals. They’re made with wholegrain cereals and milk and have added vitamins and minerals.

Varieties include: Milk & Cereal, Crunchy Oats, Fruit & Fibre, Honey & Nut (with choc chips). Each biscuit has 56, 57, 54 and 58 calories respectively. Belvita Biscuits newest varieties can be found in this post.

(Update October 2012: New Belvita Cranberry variety - see post).

The biscuits are wrapped up in packets of four and the information on the pack recommends you eat all four for breakfast together with something like yogurt, fruit and a cup of tea or coffee. It also states that the slow release carbohydrates will keep you going for four hours which has been proven in several clinical studies.

Each box of Belvita Breakfast biscuits contains six individual packets of 4 biscuits and they’re widely available in most supermarkets.

Belvita Update: October 2011 - NEW Belvita Breakfast Yogurt Crunch. Biscuits made with 5 wholegrains & creamy live yogurt filling. Like the others in the range, they're designed for breakfast.
