Warburtons Weight Watchers Malted Bread

Many diets these days seem to be anti carbohydrates, which is difficult if you love eating bread. However, bread, especially the wholegrain variety, is an important source of nutrients, fibre and energy. But it is true that bread can be high in calories. Those to be careful of include thick sliced large loaves and some of the newer seeded varieties which can have anything up to 130 calories a slice.

Fortunately, there are quite a few lower calorie breads such as Warburtons Weight Watchers Malted Bread. This is a 400g loaf of Danish style bread with malted grains and wheat bran. It's a bit like a lightweight version of a granary loaf. Each slice has only 51 calories or 1 new ProPoint®. It’s low in fat and suitable for vegetarians and widely available in stores.

Nutritional Information: Per slice (20.4g): 51 calories, 2.4g protein, 9.2g carbohydrates, 0.5g sugar, 0.3g fat, 0.1g saturates, 0.9g fibre, 0.2g salt.
