Forget the fake tan or hours spent baking in the harsh sun. There's a far healthier way of achieving a healthy glow for our skin and one which also makes us more attractive to the opposite sex. Just eating plenty of carrots, tomatoes, apricots and plums, all which contain yellow pigments called cartenoids, can cause the skin to take on a yellow glow, which apparently makes us look more attractive and healthy.
A study by St Andrews and Bristol Universities asked 40 volunteeers to rate the appearance of 51 Scottish Caucasian faces and those who had this healthier 'yellow' glow were judged to be more attractive. According to Ian Stephen, a scientist involved in the study, it takes as little as two months to achieve visible results. So start snacking on those carrot sticks.
